Should you invest in HYIP’s? Probably not.

high yieldThe majority of HYIPs (HighYield Investment Programs) are for the most part either hype or just illegal! Finding a legitimate HYIP is like finding a grain of salt in the desert.

Too many people have had bad experiences with HYIPs to ever consider them as a viable investment opportunity. Even the HYIPs that seem to start of well end up failing and revealing themselves a scam. I have heard about too many burnt fingers to consider a HYIP.

In fact the only way that I have heard of people being successful with a HYIP is that they have found one that has just started and stuck around to the first pay period, taken their money and found the next thing to invest in but as with most things there are no guarantees, especially as most HYIPs have a life span of about 4 months. Some people have made a lot of money this way, but chances of losing everything far outweigh the possibility of gains.

There are many other investment options with lower risks and better returns without having to worry about being part of a pyramid scheme, ponzi or scam.

In fact the majority of HYIPs are actually illegal. They are opportunities that encourage you to make an investment into a randomizer or matrix which are federal offenses in the US.

It is also illegal to make claims of guaranteed income. Many HYIPs claim that you will receive x amount of money.

If you ever come across a HYIP (and it is not unlikely as there are so many of them) take their claims with a huge pinch of salt. You don’t want to be part of a federal investigation or lose your money to fund some unscrupulous gold digga’s lifestyle!

Just thing about it. The richest investor in the world, Warren Buffet, was making an average return of 30 percent in his best years. How can some HYIP scheme make that in a month, the legal way?

I wrote more on HYIPs here.
