Assessment Bond
Assessment Bond is a municipal bond issued to finance certain project. Interest in this kind of bond is paid back by taxes collected from funds collected from those who benefit from the project when project becomes operative.
For example, if assessment bond is issued in order to finance railroad construction, additional tax payment is to be expected for those who benefits from the new railroad, in order to pay interest owed to the bondholders.
