Divestiture
Divestiture is a disposition of an asset, investment or a business by a company, which can be done either in partial or in full.
Divestitures are conducted trough sale, bankruptcy, closure or exchange, often when the company realizes that particular asset or part of the business is not performing well, and will have greater value as an independent entity.
