Selective Disclosure

Selective disclosure is a forbidden practice of exposing major information to selective group of potential investors and financial analysts, while keeping that same information out of the eyes of public. By doing so, insider trading is available, which is illegal.
Back in 2000, SEC adopted Regulation FD
in order to end this illegal practice.
