Severability Clause

Severability Clause is a condition when the terms of the contract are independent of one another. It represents the possibility that the rest contract stays valid if one term of the contract is deemed unenforceable by the court.
It is actually one contract divided into many parts, when defaulting on one component of the contract is not crucial for the rest of the contract. If there were no severability clause included in the contract, in the case of defaulting on just one term, the whole contract could be deemed unenforceable.
