Share Repurchase Plan
Share Repurchase Plan is a program of buying back the stocks from the open market by the issuance company. By doing so, a company is decreasing number of shares outstanding but increases company's earnings per share and the value of the shares outstanding.
The reason why one company wants to repurchase its own shares is that company's management believes that stock price is undervalued.
