Stock Dividend
Stock Dividend is a dividend payment paid in the form of additional shares, rather than in the form of cash.
If one company is short in cash, it could pay its obligations in stocks, instead in cash. If dividends are paid out in stocks, it is usually in the form of fractions per existing shares.
