Technical Analysis
Technical Analysis is a method of evaluating securities by analyzing statistical indicators, such as charts of price and volume. Technical Analysis uses indicators generated in the past in order to predict future performance of some security. Investors who use technical analysis are not interested in including the intrinsic value of a security in their calculations, but its past performance in the form of historical prices and other market variables.
Technical analysis can be applied to a market as a whole, in the same way as applied to a single security.
