Technical Indicator
Technical indicator is any metric category that derives from security's activity, in other words - a short-term trend.
Also called "technicals," technical indicators are used in order to predict future price movements. Most used technical indicators are MACD, Money Flow Index and Relative Strength Index.
Since this is a technical category, these indicators does not include any fundamental information about a company (like profit margins, debt obligations, management or earnings), but only past performances of a security itself in the form of historical charts.
