Trading Volume
Trading volume represents market activity as the number of financial instruments traded on the market during a given period of time. Trading volume can point to a security trading volume or to trading volume of market as a whole.
Trading volume is a measure of liquidity. Greater volume refers to greater liquidity, which is the key for market competition and lower volatility.
