Vetting refers to a rigorous process of making a decision.
When talking investing, vetting is a process of thorough analyzing securities or other potential investment prior to sale or purchase, made with due diligence.
Vetting may also refer to a review of someone’s abilities prior to hiring or promoting. Vetting is often used when board of directors make decision about a prospective top manager position.
In general, vetting refers to check out something or somebody.
