Arms Index-TRIN
Arms index is also known as traders' index-TRIN, and it is a short-term breadth indicator used in technical analysis.
TRIN is calculated by the following formula:
TRIN = (advancing issues / declining issues) / (volume of advancing issues / volume of declining issues)
TRIN = 1 means that market is in balance, TRIN above 1 identifies that more volume is moving towards declining stock. Contrarily, TRIN below 1 indicates that more volume is moving into advancing stocks.
