Assessable Stock
Assessable stock is a class of stock that allows the issuer to demand more money from investors.
Because of this clause, the issuer will usually sell the stock at a discount, while keeping the window open for future demands, and it was even possible for companies to collect more money than stock was actually worth.
This class of stock was very popular earlier, especially before twentieth century, but today, all issued stocks are non-assessable.
