Bear Hug
Bear Hug is an offer made by one company to buy another one at price that greatly exceeds current value of the targeted company. Bear hugs are often made when one company is deeply interested in another, but the targeted company's board of directors is not willing to sell.
Because the company is obligated to look out for the shareholders' best interest, it will be forced to accept such a generous offer.
