Coattail Investing is very risky strategy of imitating investing decisions of a well known and successful investor. When the investor decisions are made public, imitator do exactly the same strokes in hope that it is not to late to repeat the success of initial decision of a successful investor.
The risk is very big because of the delay between the time initial decision is made and the time that decision is made public.
