Equity Multiplier is a measure of financial leverage.
It is a ratio showing company’s assets per $1 of stockholders equity. Big ratio shows that the company relies mostly on debt to finance its assets.
Equity Multiplier is calculated as:
Equity Multiplier = Total Assets / Shareholders Equity
