Fixed Asset is a long term tangible property, which is not supposed to be sold or consumed for at least one year.
Production equipment, buildings and real estate are categorized as fixed assets.
Patents and trademarks are not considered Fixed Assets, because of its intangible character, but are rather considered as “fixed intangible assets.”
