Growth Stock

Growth stock refers to common stocks of companies whose operations and market values are expanding at a rate more rapid than the general economy or are expected to expand over a period of years.
Growth stocks pay relatively low dividends because the issuing company retains most of its earnings to finance development plans. Their attraction lies in the potential return realized when the stocks are sold.
