Interest Rate Risk

Interest rate risk refers especially at debt securities, such as bonds, but can affect any security in general. When the interest rate rises, the value of the security will decline and this decline is a significant risk.

Interest rate risk can be overridden by diversifying the durations of the investments with fixed-income clause.
