Public Bond

Public Bond is a bond issued by the government agency and backed by the US government, but not guaranteed by the US government.
Public bonds are bonds issued by the Fannie Mae, Sallie Mae, Federal Home Loan Banks and Freddie Mac, in order to allow some groups of people (students for example) reach low cost financing.
Also called “agency bond.”
