Quanto Option
Often called jus “quanto,” it is an option whose underlying security is denominated in currency other than option’s currency. Quantos are used when investors are confident about the performance of the underlying asset, but are unsure of the performance of the currency that underlying asset is denominated. Quantos are set in a fixed exchange rate in order to protect the investor from negative exchange rate movement.
