Reverse Takeover - RTO
A rare event of merger, where private company buys out a public company. Public company usually remains listed on public exchange, and private company keeps its status. From that time on, private company shareholders can trade their shares for the public company shares, and effectively private company is now publicly traded.
Reverse Takeover also refers to merger when a smaller company buys out a bigger one.
