Turnover Rate
It is the number of times that an average inventory of goods is sold during a fiscal year or some designated period. Low turnover is a sign of inefficiency, since inventory usually has a rate of return of zero.
For mutual funds, turnover rate is a measure of trading activity during the previous year, expressed as a percentage of the average total assets of the fund.
